Valuation Specialist

We are looking for a Valuation Specialist for our client. This is a leading supplier of petrochemical products with an impeccable market reputation, and a wide range of products and offices in Dubai, Russia, India, China, and Turkey. They specialize in the global transportation of commodities and are expanding their financial team in Moscow.

Ideal candidate is a financial professional with a strong background in financial modeling and valuation to support asset valuation and investment decisions within the shipping industry.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain complex financial models for vessel valuations, incorporating operating costs, revenue projections, depreciation schedules, and financing structures.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret market data (vessel sales transactions, charter rates, OPEX, CAPEX, and economic indicators) to ensure accurate valuation.
• Conduct valuations at various stages of the vessel lifecycle, including newbuild, acquisition, operational, and decommissioning phases.
• Prepare detailed valuation reports, presenting findings and key assumptions to senior management and stakeholders.
• Monitor global shipping industry trends, supply and demand dynamics, and regulatory changes to refine valuation assumptions.
• Work closely with internal finance teams to assess asset value fluctuations and their impact on the company’s financial planning.

Professional Knowledge and Competencies:

• Higher education in Finance, Economics, or Business.
• 3-5 years of experience in financial modeling and valuation.
• Background in banking or Big 4 (valuation, transaction advisory, corporate finance) is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in financial modeling (DCF, comparable valuation methods, asset-backed valuation).
• Advanced Excel and experience with financial analysis tools (Bloomberg, Power BI, VBA, etc.).
• Fluent English for communication with international teams.
